Projects
Here is a collection of the assignments & projects I am most proud of working on throughout my classes across all of my universities.

SportsPro Hackathon
Seattle University
Four classmates & I were selected to participate in the SportsPro Hackathon. We competed against international universities on a challenge focused on the Triple Bottom Line (people, profit, planet). Our project created a lasting partnership between the nonprofit Street Child United and the Fifa Women's World Cup to advance opportunities for unhoused children in soccer. Our project won!
LEGO x Boston Red Sox Partnership
Seattle University
For the final project of my Corporate Partnerships class, a group of classmates &I had to build a sports partnership. We chose LEGO & the Boston Red Sox with activations like a LEGO theme night, LEGO replica Fenway Park, staff appreciation night at the ballpark, & minifigure giveaways

NWSL All Star Weekend
Seattle University
To earn the spot in the SportsPro Hackathon, my classmates and I were tasked with creating an event, focused on social responsibility. We elected to build an All-Star Weekend for the NWSL in Portland complete with a 7v7 tournament, skills challenge, & other fan activations, focused on giving back to Portland and maintaining a sustainable event.
Nike's Oregon Project
Seattle University
As a part of our Business Ethics class, we got to choose an ethical issue in sport to study. Having just finished Kara Goucher's book, The Longest Race, I decided to look into the doping scandal within Nike's elite running team, named the Oregon Project. We analyzed these issues within the scope of accepted ethical frameworks.

Summit Sounds Music Festival
Seattle University
For our Venues & Sustainability class, my group was tasked with creating an event to be hosted in Seattle. We created the Summit Sounds Music Festival which would feature exclusively talent based out of the PNW, the festival would focus on creating a sustainable festival using local talent, vendors, & staff.
International Committee of Sports for the Deaf
Xavier University
For an ASL class, my partner & I were tasked with researching an international organization created to support Deaf individuals. The ICSD hosts a variety of sports tournaments specifically for Deaf individuals to feel welcomed and included in sports. They host the Deaflympics and Deaf World Championships among other events.

Viking Expansion in Ireland
Xavier University
In one of my favorite history classes, perfectly named "Vikings!", I worked with two other students to research viking expansion into Ireland, learning how to do primary source research, study maps, and analyze sources from hundreds of years ago. It sparked an interest in research I didn't know I had.
Racism in the Classroom
Trinity University
One of my favorite classes I ever took eas called "Story Lab" where we learned about he importance & art of stories. Our final projects were to create a story. I was very frustrated by how Texas framed the civil war in classrooms, so I created a script where a teacher managed to explain to her middle schooler's the truth behind the causes of the civil war without patronizing or ignoring their biases & experiences.

Published Writing
From October 2022 to June 2023 I wrote articles for and hosted a live podcast on the NWSL with Pro Sport Fans. I covered the NWSL, WNBA, and international women's soccer for them. I was one of very few authors covering women's sports, and to this day they still hardly have any coverage. Click on the images of Kelsey Plum & Lynn Biyendolo to check out my work
"Other" Coverage
For most of my time with them, all women's sports were placed in their other category, so all of my WNBA coverage is here, along with a lot of my soccer coverage
Soccer Coverage
Once I was able to convince them to add women's soccer to their "Soccer" category, my work moved here for the last three months of my internship.
